January 22, (THEWILL) – The Elemo Adedipe family has cautioned Ondo Governor’s wife, Betty Akeredolu, over her threat to deal with Bunmi Ademosu, Special Adviser to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Public and Inter-Governmental Relations.
In a leaked audio, Betty accused the aide of sneaking a “concoction” to her spouse and allegedly scheming to become the deputy governor.
In the 2 minutes 39 seconds Whatsapp audio recording, Betty was heard threatening Ademosu to stay away from her husband.
“This is Arabinrin, I have a message for Ademosu and I believe that she’s on this Aketi’s women’s platform. I want this woman to stay away from my husband, and stop sneaking in concoctions.
“According to her, they are from her fake pastors to give my husband a drink. We rely on medical care. We rely on the western style of medical care and Aketi will get well.
“What has triggered this very message is her recent meetings to become the deputy governor of Ondo state. Look at you, what have you got upstairs to become the deputy governor of Ondo state?
“Peradventure anything happens to Aketi, Lucky takes over, it’s a constitutional thing. But for you to be scheming, for you to be scheming.
“I warned Aketi from the beginning that this woman is evil, this woman is no good and it’s happening. She has nothing good for you and I warned him. This woman is bloody evil. But I’m warning her for the very last time to stay away from my husband.
“And look, if you are dealing with an Igbo woman in this kind of situation, I’ll deal with you mercilessly so that you won’t forget in your life. For the very last time Ademosun, stay away from Aketi, you won’t find it funny with me. You are a very terrible woman, go away and enjoy your look.”
Reacting, Chairman, Elemo Adedipe Dynasty of Akure, Adedipe A.Olajide condemned the “outright threat to the life of our daughter”.
In a statement he signed, Adedipe urged the Inspector General of Police and the Department of State Services (DSS) to call the governor’s wife to order.
Elder Olajide said the family would hold Betty “responsible and accountable should anything untoward happen to our daughter and/or her assets”.
“The Elemo Adedipe Dynasty of Akure is in possession of the audio tape issued by Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu (aka Arabirin) on Monday 16th January 2023. We understand that an audio tape that depicts an emotional outburst has now become viral.
“We note with a sense of responsibility the outright threat to the life of our daughter – Mrs Olubunmi Ademosu (Special Adviser on Public and Inter-Governmental Relations to Ondo State Executive Governor) in the audio tape which Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu has not denied up till now.
“We, therefore, call the attention of the Inspector General of Police and the Director of the Department of State Services and every lover of peace in this country to call Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu to order over her threat to the life of our daughter – Mrs Olubunmi Ademosu
“The Elemo Adedipe Dynasty of Akure will hold Mrs Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu responsible and accountable should anything untoward happen to our daughter and/or her assets (human and material)
“We empathize with Arakunrin Akeredolu as he faces this unusual emotional stress from within his household at a time he has health challenges and requires succour from every well meaning individual.
“It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house. It is better to dwell in the wilderness than with a contentious and angry woman. Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in righteousness,,” (Proverbs 21:9,19 and 25:5, 24).
“We join the good people of Ondo State to pray for the speedy recovery of Arakunrin’s health so he can finish his term as Executive Governor with laudable legacies for posterity in Ondo State.
“May the Lord God give us peace in this state during this election year and beyond.
Akeredolu has been seriously ill and has been in and out of hospital since 2019. He was out of the state for five weeks while seeking medical attention in Abuja.
In April 2022 he was hospitalised in a German hospital after falling ill.
He was forced to attend party meetings from his sick bed following the leaked audio.
