Ex-SMEDAN Boss Dikko Radda Wins Katsina APC Guber Primary

May 27, (THEWILL) – The immediate-past Director-General of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Dr Dikko Umar Radda, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket in Katsina State.

Radda polled 506 votes to defeat his closest challenger and the immediate-past Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, who scored 442 votes, and Abbas Umar Masanawa who scored 436 votes.

Also, Ahmad Dangiwa polled 220 votes, Faruq Lawal Jobe got 71 votes, Mannir Yakubu scored 65 votes, Sadiq Abubakar Yar’adua scored 32 votes, Abdulkarim Dauda got seven votes and Umar Tata got eight votes.

While declaring Radda as the winner of the primary election, the chairman of the electoral committee, Kaka Shehu Lawal, said a total of 1,806 accredited votes were cast, with four invalid votes.

Radda thanked Governor Aminu Bello Masari and the electoral committee for ensuring the people’s votes count.
