January 30,(THEWILL) – Everton Football Club has announced the appointment of Sean Dyche as their new manager, as he signs a two-and-a-half-year contract until June 2025.
Dyche replaces Frank Lampard, who was dismissed last week with the club sitting in 19th place in the English Premier League. The former Burnley boss is eager to bring success to the club and start a new chapter for Everton.
The 51-year-old has a wealth of experience, having been in charge at Burnley for almost 10 years, where he guided the club to two promotions from the Championship and kept them in the EPL for five seasons. He will be joined by his former Burnley staff, including Ian Woan as Assistant Manager, Steve Stone as First-team Coach, and Mark Howard as the Sports Science Lead.
Everton Chairman, Bill Kenwright, expressed his confidence in Dyche’s ability to lead the club and praised the manager for quickly convincing both himself and Farhad Moshiri, the club’s owner, of his skills.
Dyche’s first game in charge will be against Arsenal on February 4, and he is determined to help the team regain their form and bring back a positive atmosphere to Goodison Park.
