Kaoru Mitoma put Brighton in the lead with a stunning curling effort, but Marc Albrighton equalised for Leicester after some chaotic defending from the visitors. The Foxes then took the lead in the second half when Barnes scored with a powerful strike.
Despite both teams suffering early injuries, the match was still a closely contested affair. Brighton continued to press for an equaliser, and their efforts were rewarded in the 88th minute when Evan Ferguson headed in his third league goal of the season.
