EPL Reschedules Postponed Fixtures Due To COVID-19

December 31, (THEWILL) – Three games that were postponed due to COVID-19 outbreaks have been rescheduled, according to the Premier League. The coronavirus Omicron variant wrecked untold havoc on England’s top-flight schedule, causing over 20 games to be postponed.

On Friday, the Premier League provided some clarification on New Year’s Eve, releasing new dates for Southampton versus Brentford, Everton vs Leicester, and West Ham vs Norwich City, despite the fact that the destiny of several of these matches remains unknown.

The former, which was supposed to take place on Saturday, December 18th, will instead take place on Tuesday, January 11th. Saints will be seeking to keep their recent strong form going, while Brentford will be hoping for a rare away win.

Everton’s match against Leicester, which was initially planned for Sunday, December 19th, has also been postponed. It will now be held on Tuesday, January 11th.

Finally, West Ham and Norwich have heard that their match has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 12th.

The Premier League revealed the new dates along with the television lineups for the final two gameweeks of February.
