BEVERLY HILLS, December 15, (THEWILL) – In the latest round of testing among players and staff in the English Premier League, six persons, from a test population of 1,549, tested positive for coronavirus. All six of them have gone into self-isolation.

It represents a decline in the number of positive cases from a tally of 14 in last week’s tests. Four of those 14 were from Newcastle which resulted in the shutting down of training facilities at St. James’ Park and the postponement of their December 4th match against Aston Villa.

Six positive tests is the lowest total of positive tests in a week’s round of Premier League testing since November 9.
