Delta United Forum Elects New Executive

BEVERLY HILLS, April 28, (THEWILL) – The Delta United Forum, a foremost socio-political organisation of all Indigenes from the 25 local government areas residing in Bayelsa State, has recently elected a new executive to pilot the affairs of the body for the next four years.

This was disclosed during the formal presentation and introduction of  the new Executive to the Supreme Council for Non-Indigenes in Bayelsa State, the umbrella body of all non-indigenes residing in all the eight local government areas.

According to Rev Jacob Ogbor, the immediate past President of Delta United Forum, the new executives were elected under a  very peaceful and transparent process that was monitored by the representatives of the Supreme Council for Non-Indigenes in Bayelsa State.

He therefore implored other groups to emulate the process of electing a new leadership devoid of rancour and violence.

The newly-elected President of the Delta United Forum,  Ambrose Obi, expressed his appreciation for considering him worthy of the position and promised not disappoint the confidence reposed in him and seek the cooperation of all.

While the President-General of the Supreme Council For Non-Indigenes in Bayelsa State, Mr Itekpu Bartholomew Esikhena, reiterated the need for the unity, love, welfare and harmonious living of non-indigenes residing in Bayelsa State.

Those elected were, Ambrose Obi, President, Elder Alfred Ayewubaka, Ist Vice president, chief Charles Oruru, 2nd Vice President, James Vwotu, General Secretary, Godgift Ogagarogbe, Treasurer , Emmanuel Ojugbali, Financial Secretary and Mrs Charity William as Women Leader.
