BEVERLY HILLS, April 09, (THEWILL) – On Day Six of the ongoing Edo2020, the 20th edition of the National Sports Festival (NSF) taking place in Benin City, the medals table has seen Team Delta maintain its domination at the top on all medal categories: Gold, Silver and Bronze.
In second place is Team Bayelsa while hosts Team Edo wrap up the top three for a coastal region one, two, three lead.
The medals table, as released by the Games Services Unit of the festival’s Main Organising Committee (MOC), provides evidence of Team Delta’s supremacy as they have amassed a haul of 32 gold, 25 silver and 15 bronze medals, so far, giving them an overall leading total of 72 medals after five days.
From the 20 gold, 8 silver and 21 bronze medals Team Bayelsa have, their total coming up to 43 medals; but their superior gold medal wins place them second over third place Team Edo, whose total stands at 63. Team Edo is third because they only have 18 gold medals, 24 silver and 21 bronze, for their 63 medal total.
Below these top three are the teams of Rivers, Imo, Kano, Lagos, Akwa-Ibom, Oyo and Borno States in that order table for the first 10 on the medals table of the NSF at this point in the competition.
With the track events sprinting off on Friday, the medals are sure to add up, with States that boast of speedsters in their ranks set to benefit and climb higher up on the table.
