January 18, (THEWILL) – Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, aka Cardi B, has stated why she decided to call off her divorce plan and stick with her cheating husband, Offset.
The duo have been married since 2017, she filed for divorce in 2020, but the divorce was later dismissed.
The rapper made it known in a chat on ‘The Jason Lee Show’ that she just wanted Offset to change.
“Me and Offset, were not seeing eye-to-eye. This was like, the same year I filed for divorce and everything.”
Their divorce was dismissed without prejudice in November 2020, just over a month after her initial filing, citing irreconcilable differences.
She later revealed that she filed for divorce to teach Offset a lesson.
“I’m gonna let him talk about this because the main thing that was really bothering me — I’ma let him say it,’ she added.
“I want him to say it because I feel like that’s really part of his story,’ she continued.
“The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me”, she revealed.
