September 13, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Owerri, the Imo State capital for an official working visit.
His aircraft touched down the Sam Mbakwe airport at exactly 11 am and was received by governor Hope Uzodimma, accompanied by some top state government functionaries.
Also at the airport to receive the president were some top security personnel and chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and South-East zone.
On arrival, the president inspected a Guard of Honour mounted by the Nigerian Armed Forces.
He was later treated to a cultural performance by the Omenaimo Cultural Troupe from the Imo State Council of Arts and Culture.
The President is expected to have brief meeting with Imo stakeholders at the government house before he goes ahead to commission the Owerri/Orlu and Okigwe/Owerri roads and thereafter, inaugurate the renovated State House of Assembly complex.
