Bassey, Percy Paul, Others To Thrill Audience At Green Worship 2022

September 22, (THEWILL) – The yearly gospel musical concert, Green Worship 2022, organised by Worship For Change, a non-governmental organisation founded to create awareness and support for indigent children, orphans and children with special needs, will hold Monday 3rd October, 2022.

The one-day event billed to hold at Elevation Church, Lekki in Lagos will feature gospel artists including: Pernam Percy Paul, Wale Adenuga, Nathaniel Bassey, Sammie Okposo, Noel Robinson, and a host of other musicians.

Speaking about the concert in a media parley on Thursday, the convener of Green Worship, Wale Adenuga, explained that the concert is aimed at creating awareness and raising funds, which are disbursed to charity centres to help orphanages, leprosy centres, and other care-giving outfits, for the benefit of the needy in the society.

Present at the media parley were; the Convener of Green Worship, Wale Adenuga, Founder/Proprietress of the Patrick Speech and Languages Centre in Lagos, Dotun Akande, Founder, Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation, Tobiloba Ajayi and other stakeholders, including the press.

Explaining further, Adenuga said; “We started in 2006. At the first two concerts: 2006 and 2007, we charged for gate fees. However, this year is going to be free. This year, we are going to encourage people to give. At the end of the day, we will be able to raise funds for the needy”.

According to Adenuga, the beneficiaries of this year’s concert are: Pure Souls Learning Foundation, Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation, AIM Special Children Centre, Kaduna, RECDOT Foundation, Anambra State and The Leprosy Mission, Nigeria

This year’s event will be the 12th edition. Money raised last year were donated to the beneficiaries which include The Farid Centre, Irede Foundation, Leprosy Mission Nigeria, and Godswill Orphanage.

Also Green Worship, which has made tremendous impact on the activities of caregivers through generous financial assistance, presented N7.5 million from proceeds gotten from the Green Worship 3.0 concert in 2020 to six charity organisations that care for vulnerable children and those with special needs.

Green Worship is an evening of worship featuring some of the finest Worship artistes. As an initiative of Worship for Change, Green Worship is a benefit concert wherein awareness and support will be raised for charities caring for orphans and children with special needs.

Worship for Change through her benefit concerts has raised millions of naira and impacted the lives of thousands of indigent children.
