January 25, (THEWILL) – Former professional football player, Gareth Bale’s golfing abilities have been described as unfair by Jon Rahm, the 2021 U.S. Open winner.

On Wednesday, Rahm declared, “He has no business being that good!” in reference to Bale’s impressive golfing skills.

As THEWILL previously reported, Bale, who recently retired from football and is known for his love of golf, announced plans to compete at the PGA Tour’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am next month. In preparation for the competition, he played nine holes of pro-am play at Torrey Pines with Rahm on Tuesday, making a good impression on the world number three.

“You can tell he loves this sport, he loves golf and he really wants to get to play a little bit more, so hopefully in the future I’ll see him more times in the pro-am,” said Rahm. He went on to say, “When he can actually practice more, he’s going to get a lot better.”

It appears that Bale’s future in golf may be bright, despite his recent retirement from football.
