January 20, (THEWILL) – Youths have been admonished to shun all forms of violence during the February 2023 general elections, and ensure they participate in the exercise.
This advice was given by the Coordinator, APC Youths and Students Council, Chizitere Ahubelem, (Alias Chizzy Wizzy), in Owerri, while speaking with Journalists in recently.
Ahubelem, a website engineer and a known Social media influencer, urged the young people, not to allow themselves to be used as agents of violence during the elections.
“I have supported youths with cash gifts and materials, the less-privileged people have also benefitted from my philanthropic gestures.”
He stressed the need for the people to be brought together under one umbrella towards ensuring a credible and transparent election process is conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
He expressed sadness over high level of insecurity in Imo, which he regretted, had claimed many lives and, therefore, advised the youths to shun hyping off security challenges that is ravaging the State on social media.
“The more insecurity is hyped, the more the hoodlums are strengthened to carry out their operations.”
In his speech at the meeting, Comrade Kelechi Uzoma, who is the Chairman of Mbano Journalists Association, explained that the group has projected the cause of the zone in all ramifications.
