Arik Air Lagos-Asaba Flight Makes Air Return

January 13, (THEWILL) – Domestic carrier, Arik Air Lagos-Asaba flight, on Wednesday evening made an air return to its Murtala Mohammed Airport (MMA) base in Lagos.

Confirming the incident, the airline in an official statement issued on Wednesday, stated that one of their Dash 8 Q-400 aircraft operating the Lagos-Asaba flight on Wednesday evening made an air return to base due to a technical issue.

The statement signed by Arik Air management stated that the aircraft landed safely and the Pilot in Command, in compliance with safety procedures, decided to disembark the passengers on the airside of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.

According to the statements, “The aircraft was later taxied to the Arik Air hangar for maintenance action” .

“A substitute aircraft has since been provided for the Asaba passengers”, it added.

The airline however, apologised for the inconvenience the incident may have caused, assuring passengers that their safety is of utmost priority to the airline.
