November 04, (THEWILL) – Rasheedat Ajibade has been nominated for Atletico Madrid Femenino’s Player of the Month award for October.
Ajibade featured exceptionally well for Atletico throughout the month after the less-than-inspiring fruitless September. The 22-year-old Super Falcons striker contributed to five of Atletico Madrid’s twelve goals in October, including her first-ever hat trick, which she notched against Huelva as Atletico Madrid romped to a 5-0 win.
In the Primera Iberdrola, her contributions enabled Atletico Madrid Femenino to clinch eight of a possible fifteen points and she has been recognised for her efforts with a nomination for the player of the month award for October by Las Colchoneras.
In competition for the prize with Ajibade are Ainhoa Moraza, Ludmila Silva, Sheila and Estefania Banini.
This season, the Super Falcons star has scored four goals for Atletico Madrid Femenino in seven games. She looks set to surpass her season-high of ten league goals this season if she maintains her present form in front of goal.
