BEVERLY HILLS, December 18, (THEWILL) – The Adamawa state government has directed all schools in the state to close for the academic session
A statement on Friday by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education Education and Human Capital Development, Aisha Abubakar, said; “The ministry of education and human capital development wishes to direct and announce the immediate closure of private and public schools in the state today being 18th December 2020.
She said resumption date will be announced on a later date while directing school administrators/authorities to strictly comply with the directive.”
While no reason was given for the decision of the state government, the recent abduction of hundreds of boys from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State may have informed the decision of the state government to take all necessary precautions.
