Abba Kyari, the former chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, may be dead but the northern political class made sure to honour him as they all rose in unison to usher one of his daughters, Zainab into the marriage institution last weekend.
Led by Buhari, they made Zainab’s wedding to Mohammed Hameed Ali, the son of the Comptroller-General of Custom, Col Hameed Ali (retd), a memorable one.
The wedding Fatiha took place at the National Mosque in Abuja and had in attendance dignitaries including some state governors, National Assembly members and heads of security agencies, among others.
Kyari, died on 17th April, 2020 of complications from coronavirus at the First Cardiology Consultants, Ikoyi, Lagos State. He was a lawyer and served as Chief of staff to Buhari from August 2015 to April 2020.
