93.4m Nigerians Eligible To Vote In 2023 Elections

January 11, (THEWILL) – Ahead of the February 25 Presidential and National Assembly elections in Nigeria, the Independent National *Electoral* Commission (INEC), has presented a list of 93,469,008 million total Registered Voters to political parties.

The list was presented to representatives of the 18 registered political parties by INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, at a meeting held at the Commission’s Conference Hall, Maitama, Abuja, on Wednesday.

A report by Prompt News said the Registered Voters list shows that out of the 93,469,008 persons who are on the register, 49,054,162 (52.5%) are male, while 44,414,846 (47.5%) are female.

By Occupational Distribution, Students topped the number of Registered Voters with 26,027,481 or 27.8%, while farmers and fishermen/women were 14,742,554 or 15.8%.

In terms of age, Youths (18-34) lead with 37,060,399 or 39.65% registered voters; middle-aged (35-49) came second with 33, 413,591 or 35.75%.
