Welcoming the National vice-chairman and his team, Chief Dennis Otiotio, chairman, APC Bayelsa State, pledged that the party would take over not just the state, but the region as well.

“Sylva initiated the Amnesty Programme and brought peace to the region, he was also instrumental, and was at the forefront of the passage of the historic Petroleum Industry Act, 2021, led by President Muhammadu Buhari, so the award is very merited”, Otiotio said.

Chief Victor Giadom began his remarks by midday, saying, “I commend Chief Timipre Sylva and we respect his huge contributions towards the success of the party. We are here to listen to you, the stakeholders of the party, and to analyse the health of the party. I thank you all for coming and I thank Bayelsans for always supporting us.”

H.E Timipre Sylva harped on the need for sustained unity, “We must be a united family to go into this election and that is why the party chairman was very gracious in inviting everybody.

“APC is a large family and it is our ability to accommodate all the shades and tendencies that will determine how far we can go. We have the muscle and capacity to deliver, that is why I term this campaign ‘Operation Takeover’.

“APC is the dominant party in the state and from the Horizon we can see a new day.”

The Honourable Minister declared total and comprehensive victory for Bola Tinubu and opined that his win will be made easy by his excellent track record of innovative governance. Saying, “He became Governor of Lagos with an IGR of less than a billion naira and jacked it up to 51 billion by the end of his very successful administration.

“He opened doors of opportunities, built a firm economy, solid infrastructure and created multiple platforms for human capacity building.”

The Minister slammed Peter Obi’s watery rhetoric and reminded that the Labour Party standard bearer was a complete failure as Governor of Anambra state.

Atiku Abubakar was on the radar, and Chief Sylva is concerned, especially about the PDP candidate’s apparent appetite for selling critical national assets and random acts of financial insincerity.

Also in attendance were past and serving members of the National Assembly, past and serving members of the state assembly, former chairmen, Elders caucus, principal appointees of the Buhari administration, former deputy spokesperson of the APC and ranking members of the party, amongst others.
