January 29, (THEWILL) – As the 2023 general election is to be held in less than a month, A renowned Attorney and Counselor in the United States of America, Dr Christian Chima Nwachukwu, has described the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as the most qualified candidate, who has all it takes to rule the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Imo-born legal luminary, who chaired the occasion of the Peter Obi Town Hall Meeting with Nigerians, in Atlanta, USA, recently, noted that when he was informed that he would be chairman of the ceremony, he never turned down the request.
“The day I was called upon to chair the occasion, I accepted it with all sense of patriotism and commitment for a New Nigeria. We all want the best for our country”, he said.
Chief Nwachukwu, an experienced Counselor at Law in the Supreme Court of the United States, explained that looking at the antecedents of the former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party Presidential flag bearer, Mr Peter Obi, one cannot doubt that he would revamp the Education, Health, Transport, Agriculture, Commerce and other sectors of the economy if it assumes the mantle of leadership.
He, therefore, used the opportunity to advise Nigerians residing in the United States to get involved in their respective Local Government Areas of Imo State in particular and Nigeria in general, to ensure they throw their weights behind the LP Presidential candidate, Obi.
“We shall pool our resources together towards ensuring that the right candidate that would fix Nigeria emerges as President in the February, 25th general elections.”
He also called on Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, describing it as the only way they could vote during the forthcoming polls, urging youths to shun restiveness and other acts that could jeopardize their future during the election.
“Youths should bear in mind there is no shortcut in life. Diligence, sincerity, commitment and dedication to duty, pay. Education or Acquiring skills is necessary.”
The Learned counsel, therefore, pleaded with the young people not to make themselves available to be used by the over-zealous politicians to foment trouble during the coming election, saying that Nigerians shall definitely get it right after the exercise.
