Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab Pleads Not Guilty

San Francisco Jan 8, (THEWILL) – Nigerian Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab has pleaded not guilty to all six count terrorism related charges leveled against him by the United States government.

Mutallab was brought before Magistrate Judge Mark Randon in a Detroit courtroom on Friday afternoon for hearing on his arraignment and detention.

He is alleged to have tried to blow up a Detroit-bound Northwest plane with explosives sown into his underwear on Christmas Day.

He was not granted bail.

If found guilty, Mutallab will go to jail for life.

Judge Nancy Edmunds will be the trial judge.
