Bauchi Gets New Emir

JOS, July 29, (THEWILL) - A new Emir of Bauchi has been announced; he is Alhaji Rilwanu Suleymanu Adamu. Alhaji Adamu beat 18 other contestants to the throne to emerge as the successor to the late Suleiman Adamu Jumba, who died last Saturday at a hospital in Cairo, Egypt. A statement from the Bauchi State governor, Mallam Isa Yuguda confirmed the selection of Alhaji Suleymanu Adamu. The new Emir whose date of turbanning would be announced later is 40 years old and is working at the Nigeria Sao-Tome and Principe Joint Development Authority. The CV of the new Emir indicated he attended Kobi Primary School, Bauchi, between 1976 to 1982, Government Secondary School, Toro, from 1982 to 1987, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic from 1991 to 1995 where he obtained a National Certificate of Education (NCE) and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University between 1996 to 2001 where he obtained BSC in building technology. He is married with two children.
