ABUJA, May 18 (THEWILL) - "The Senate hereby confirms the nomination of Architect Namadi Sambo as the Vice President of the Government of the Federation," Senate President David Mark said earlier today in the Senate.
The House of Representatives also confirmed his nomination during a session on Tuesday.
Sambo was confirmed in absentia as he did not attend any of the sessions.
Sambo’s nomination was sent to the National Assembly last week by President Goodluck Jonathan for confirmation as enshrined in the constitution.
Namadi Sambo was the Governor of Kaduna State, a northern state before his nomination.
