Jonathan/Amanpour Interview To Air On Wednesday

San Francisco April 12, (THEWILL) – The CNN interview with Nigerian Acting President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan which was conducted today as exclusively reported by THEWILL will air on Wednesday, April 14th at 3.pm E.T (8.pm WAT) on the popular political CNN show, ‘Amanpour.’

The host of the show Christiane Amanpour had an exclusive one on one with Jonathan late Monday afternoon in his hotel suite at the Westin Grand Hotel on M Street, Washington DC.

THEWILL checks revealed that Jonathan and Amanpour had a lengthy discussion on Nigeria’s upcoming elections, electoral reform, the intrigues surrounding President Umaru Yar’Adua’s illness, the power struggle at the presidency, ethnic and religious crisis in Nigeria, the Niger Delta and peace process, power supply and corruption amongst other issues.

The Acting President was invited to the United States by President Barack Obama to attend the Washington Nuclear Summit.

He met with Barack Obama yesterday at the White House where they had bilateral talks before meeting with Vice President Joe Biden.

He is scheduled to depart Washington DC for Abuja on Wednesday at 6.pm after meeting with the Nigerian community.
