WARRI DELTA March 28, (THEWILL) - Tension is looming in Bayelsa State, as indications emerged that a faction of militants that detonated two bombs on Monday, March 15th, that eventually disrupted the post amnesty dialogue organized by the Vanguard Newspaper in Warri, Delta State, is yet again targeting the Bayelsa State Government House.

The State Government House, also known as Creek Haven situated in the state capital, Yenagoa, seems to be the next target point of the aggrieved militants, whose plan is to make the state ungovernable for Governor Timipre Sylva, accused of imposing poverty and hunger on the people of the state.

THEWILL learnt that the militants that carried out the Warri bombing were still not yet done with the governors of Delta and Bayelsa States, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and Timipre Sylva respectively.

A militant leader, who identified himself as the Udemegun of Niger Delta, threatened that Governor Uduaghan, Timipre Sylva will never have peace, and that Delta State will be revisited during the campaigns for the 2011 elections, where he promised there would be ‘massive bomb and rocket launchers attack in the state.’

Sylva is currently locked in a battle of supremacy with the Acting President, Goodluck Jonathan over his opposition to Jonathan's ascension to the top of the Presidency. Some officials of the state government are also being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on charges of stealing and diverting billions in naira belonging to the state government.
