Lamido Of Adamawa Dies At 88

San Francisco March 13, (THEWILL) – Dr. Aliyu Musdafa, 88, the Lamido of Adamawa has died in Yola, Adamawa State on Saturday evening, according to reports from Adamawa State.
The monarch was one of Nigeria’s longest serving rulers having ascended the throne since July 26, 1954.
Dr. Musdafa is reported to have died suddenly after complaining of uneasiness and discomfort.
He will be buried on Sunday (tomorrow) according to Islamic rites.
All prominent traditional rulers in northern Nigeria including the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar III are expected to attend his funeral.
Dr. Aliyu Musdafa was born in Yola in 1922.
