San Francisco Feb 03, (THEWILL) – The Senate according to its President David Mark will have the opportunity to drill the president’s special adviser on National Assembly matters, Mohammed Abba-Aji, the man accused of diverting the President’s vacation letter(s) to the leadership of the National Assembly.

The closed door session with Abba-Aji will hold at 12 noon on Thursday, Feb 04.

A national newspaper first broke the report in December that Abba-Aji conniving with some influential persons in government diverted a letter purportedly written by the President to the lawmakers informing them of his intention to embark on a medical leave.

A few days ago, during a similar session at the Senate floor, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Alhaji Yayale Ahmed told the senators that Abba-Aji would be in a better position to explain how the President’s vacation letter addressed, and meant for delivery to the lawmakers was scuttled in December of 2008.

The SGF said he could not confirm whether the President wrote another letter before his current trip to a hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The Senate last week passed a resolution urging the ailing leader to transmit communication necessary for the Vice President to become acting president.
