LABOUR UNIONS HIT THE STREETS.

Abuja (THEWILL) - A coalition of Labour Leaders in Nigeria led by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress of Nigeria and rights activists, Thursday in Abuja protested against the planned deregulation of the downstream sector of the petroleum industry.

The protest march started at 9.am and saw the protesters file through major city streets singing solidarity songs. The unions are also demanding a review of the minimum wage salary structure.

On the march, NLC president, Abdulwaheed Omar, Femi Falana, Dipo Fashina and TUC’s   Peter Esele addressed the workers at various stops.
