ON PDP AND EX-GOV OYINLOLA’S THANKSGIVING SERVICE

A lot of bad lessons are being dished out to gullible, hapless and helpless Nigerians; and the church is supporting. It would have been better if the church rejected the so-called thanksgiving service in honour of the sacked Osun State governor, Prince Oyinlola. One wonders which God would receive such thanks in the service. And to all those PDP and other persons that graced the occasion; it goes to show that they all are for injustice and such may continue to visit them in their endeavours if they fail to have a rethink.

Prince Oyinlola was sacked for falsification of election results that brought him to power and he is being so celebrated by the church and PDP as if he did a good thing. Persons like him, prison should be their new abode. I wish I know what sermon the Preacher at the Thanksgiving harped on. Nigeria would continue to be on derail and not on the rail for a long time to come if we continue celebrating failures, mediocrities, falsehoods, illegally acquired riches, assassinations, pen-robberies and other crimes in our society. Most times, Awards are giving to wrong people.

From all intent and purpose, celebrating things and people involved in such categories continues to send wrong signals to our future leaders who are the youths of today. Therefore all Nigerians should rethink and ensure that only the just are celebrated at every given situation than the exhortation of criminals.

I am sure God Himself is not happy with the goings on in Nigeria. People are selfishly breaking promises and arrangements that are supposed to benefit the entire nation had it been followed. I am only complaining to God and not to the stonehearted leaders we have in Nigeria today; according to a line in an illustrious lyric of one of the Lady of Songs musical tracks – “God (only) remains our Judge and would settle all the wahala”.
