2011: PDP WAITING FOR THE UNDERTAKER

With all the happenings now, it has become clear that PDP came to power through fraudulent means. Those brave and incorruptible (judicial) officers who adjudicated on various tribunals and other court sittings over election petitions seem to have proved so. But for other cases which were heavily compromised by some judges in favour of PDP, it would have been clearer and detailed how PDP it’s rigged way to the top.

With the addition of Osun to prove the bundle of falsifications that showcased PDP as the strongest party, time for its death is very near. One is also considering those States that the PDP took through the backdoor (including Bauchi, Kebbi, Abia and Imo); there are also illegally ‘elected’ PDP persons at all levels of governance – federal and state legislatures and local governments, inclusive. If the right thing is done, one does not see why Delta State would go PDP in the proposed rerun election. ACN is looking good particularly in Akwa Ibom, Ogun, and Oyo States, come 2011 because votes would count; other States that might slip off PDP’s hold include Enugu, Plateau and Kaduna. There would be other chance bandwagon that would ask the disgraced, former PDP national chairman, Vincent Ogbulafor “wither the PDP expected to rule for the next 60-years”?

As it were, with the confusion in PDP concerning Atiku and Jonathan, any strong opposition coalition would see PDP lose the Presidency during the 2011 election. Former President Obasanjo is not helping matters; with his past corrupt, bad governance and antics, coupled with his overbearing influence on the presidency, he has become President Jonathan’s albatross.

The Lady of Songs (Christy Essien) in her interview published in Compass newspaper of November 20, 2010, prophesied the circulating words in almost every Nigerian lips and this is that: a good leadership will emerge if Professor Jega can forget who appointed him and remember that he is a Nigerian and that Nigeria must not be allowed to experience bad situation any longer. Jega would even be doing great favour to who appointed him if he ensures that the elections are conducted by the rules otherwise the nation would fail and such would not do anyone any good.
