Sir,

JONATHAN NOT THE ‘MESSIAH’ BUT FORE-RUNNER

It is most likely that if President Jonathan ventures to contest the 2011 presidency, he would not find it easy. Jonathan has never won any election; he had all the while been appendage to the contestants and his assuming the President now was purely by luck, just as it was when he was in Bayelsa. People are now beginning to see that Jonathan presidency would not achieve much as it gropes; and this is manifesting almost daily. He seems not to have a good political adviser.

Being a Nigeria President is no tea-party. Nigeria needs a strong character as president. God has also revealed to me and I seem to agree with Primate Olabayo who insisted in his interview in the Sunday Sun, July, 18, 2010 page 10 that neither Jonathan nor IBB would be the next president; just as I know of those the three governors Olabayo referred to as plotting against him while now pretending to be for him and Jonathan is seriously bringing one particular one very close to him. Jonathan should be careful of his life within this short presidency. He may have made some avoidable blunders in statements and actions which have exposed his deficiency.

Jonathan lied that he spoke with Yar’Adua on sickbed; recanted later. Jonathan appointed INEC officials; some he dropped after. Jonathan ordered probe of the under-17 soccer fiesta which Nigeria hosted; so far no feedback to the public. What made Jonathan think of banning Nigeria from international soccer is still unexplainable. Jonathan covered up fraud at the NDDC but asked the Niger Delta governors to reconcile as if NDDC funded by taxpayers’ sweat, is a family matter.

Jonathan nominated Ministers but later dropped some. He denied ever meeting Prof Jega before nominating him. Jonathan in charge of Ministry of Power but as he revealed in Akwa Ibom recently does not know when electricity situation would improve. He seems to believe more in native doctors than special advisers. He announced the arrest of one of the kidnappers of NUJ members; soon he will recant. Jonathan has been in governance for eleven years; enough for no excuses for failure.
