FED HOUSE SANITIZATION: DINO MELAYE AS A RECURRING DECIMAL

It is most likely that many have forgotten that Representative Dino Melaye was an anchor-leg for the ‘Integrity Group’ that unearthed former Speaker Mercy Etteh’s N628million house renovation expenses that threw her out. Again it is the same Dino Melaye ‘The Progressive group’ that unearthed Bankole’s N9billion sins.

Ironically, it was a group headed by Dino that defended Dimeji in last years’s 2.5 billion vehicles purchase scam. The group called Keyamo many unprintable names when the matter was on. Has scale gone off the eyes of Dino’s group now that they have unearthed the current scandal rocking the leadership of the House?

It is a fact that you cannot compare Etteh’s N628 million and Bankole’s N9 billion scandals. They are many miles apart. This brings to mind that it was the same type of inflating contract sums that kept Chief Bode George in prison. One would like to see how the one of Bankole goes. It is too damning a crime that the Federal House would buy torchlight at the rate of N18, 000 per piece and up to N50 milion in total. We all know how much a torchlight costs; even if it is the ‘digitalized’ with solar energy, it would never be more than N500. The action of the Speaker is daylight robbery and serious abuse of office coupled that it touched the sensibility of the masses. There are other unnecessary items which the Speaker authorized at more than 500% actual costs. With this I feel that our lawmakers and even the executives are running mad with great corruption.

All those pro-Speaker Bankole, including the Representative Eseme Eyibo who is busy defending the indefensible, should bury their heads in shame. Then over to the EFCC and ICPC; the nation is watching to see how this matter is finally handled. The autocratic behaviour of the Federal House leadership by physically ejecting its eleven ‘Progressive’ members should be condemned. It has really been a big shame of a nation.
