JONATHAN HIJACK: UDUAGHAN RAISING FALSE ALARM

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan is Ibori’s first-cousin and Ibori bequeathed him to Delta State as governor without proper primaries; a situation that politicians assume constituencies as their personal property. In The Punch Monday 24^th May 2010 Uduaghan raised alarm over plot by unnamed individuals to 'hijack' (not kidnap) Jonathan.

One would like to know if Uduaghan ever raised such alarm when Yar’Adua was in power and was hijacked by his (Uduaghan’s) cousin. There are maxims: "those who support evil, evil shall live with them"; "he who lives in a glass house should not throw stones"; "do unto people what you expect them to do unto you."  Many people have predicted that Uduaghan would not escape corruption charges when out of office; just like his cousin, James Ibori.

In the Leadership newspaper May 11, 2010; page 11 there was a report "Ibori: How Uduaghan, Edevbie Authorised Fraudulent Payments – British Govt", which gave graphic account of how Governor Uduaghan and Edevbie (former Principal Secretary to late Present Yar’Adua) personally authorised various payments to one Christine Ibori. While Uduaghan waits to face the corruption charges after his tenure as he is presently covered by immunity, what can one say about Mr. Edevbie and you wonder what the EFCC is waiting for before going after Edevbie? The duo of Uduaghan and Edevbie committed the offence while serving as the SSG and the Commissioner of Finance, respectively, in Ibori’s administration.

There was also the case advertised by a stakeholder recently in the media wherein a graphic account was given of how alleged front (a serving legislator in Delta State House of Assembly) of Governor Uduaghan, got involved in a messy Power Project. The governor had paid out about 50% upfront for a project that its site remained not cleared of bush for more than one year after such payment. I foresee some serious troubles for Uduaghan out of office; even more than what his cousin is undergoing now. He should prepare for it.
