WARRI BOMBING: HOLD UDUAGHAN AND SYLVA RESPONSIBLE

In 2011, it is important that the electorate which with the expected amendments of the electoral act would then count ensures that only responsible, calculated, self-disciplined and those with zero tolerance to corruption are put in power at all levels of governance.

No anointed candidate should be allowed to mount the seat of leadership any longer. No cousins or relations of out-going political office occupier should be allowed take the front seat any longer. These and more are the way Nigeria can move forward. Most of the governors now in positions fall in the category of the bad instances that have been creating the frictions in the Nigerian polity. 

I want to thank the MEND for the thoughtfulness that ensured that the third bomb was not detonated at the Warri Post Amnesty conference organized by Vanguard newspapers. The MEND through the group’s spokesperson in the media of Wednesday March 17, 2010, made it known that because when the people started scampering in panic towards the direction where the third bomb was mounted, the operators were ordered not to cease fire otherwise many lives would have been lost; and that was not the intention. The intention of MEND was to shut up Governors Uduaghan and Sylva who posited that MEND was media creation. The duo and those that thought like them have now seen that MEND really exists.

What beats ones imagination was that even after MEND had warned in advance that detonate three bombs would be detonated, the security and intelligence ignored the statement? Now that it is a reality, we expect apologies from Uduaghan and Sylva for deceiving the masses and thanks to MEND for limiting the disaster that would have taken place. 

Now to those persons mentioned above, can they now confirm that MEND exists now?
