‘STATE OF THE STATE’ IS ANOTHER JAMBOREE BY EKITI PDP GOVERNMENT

The recent State of the State jamboree of Ekiti PDP regime was another insensitive obduracy of the failed contraption which has become a socio-political scourge in Ekiti.

The programme, a political façade which was ostensibly designed to entertain an assembly of the regime’s mercantile partners, political nannies and entrepreneur, cheer leaders and coterie of scavengers, was another route through which millions of the State money was siphoned.

The PDP regime did not need a clownish programme on the State of Ekiti State, as the testimonies to the true State of the State are latently seen on the streets of Ekiti and in the traumatised people.

The PDP governor revealed more on the State of the State through his live telecast on external media while Ekiti television, his local medium is in limbo.

We believe that his audience did not come to Ekiti through the forgotten paradise airport; hence they would have seen the parlous state of the roads where death is hawking its wares.

It is only a regime where integrity is on holidays that could celebrate obvious failure, gross incompetence and disdainful treasury rustling in such a frivolous fanfare with huge state funds as causalities.

From Ikun to Ikere, from Itawure to Otun, the PDP regime is a sour fruit forced into the mouths of the people. We expected the PDP governor to inform his wooly adherents the cruel fate that befell the 600 million naira-700 golden cows of Ikun , which had either died of neglect or stolen  and put on bazaar sale by executive rustlers.

The State of Ekiti today is replete with dry Irewolede water taps with billions of MDG funds sacrificed to PDP’s gods of corruption. It is obvious that the PDP governor only held a ‘come and eat ‘gathering, having appropriated millions of naira as cash gifts to irreverent visitors who could not visit the wobbling State University in Ado-Ekiti with which their host is establishing more still-born institutions.

The state of the State’s healthcare delivery is pathologically debilitating with a demoralized workforce who enjoys executive promises as incentives.

No serious government would roll out the drums to celebrate the pestilence and squalor that had become the bedmates of Ekiti masses since 2007.

Civil Servants who celebrated Christmas on empty stomachs with arrears of salaries are outstanding hallmarks of the state of Ekiti State.

Ifaki to Ado-Ekiti billion naira road which could not reach 20% completion after 3 years is a tell tale of the state of Ekiti State.

The true state of Ekiti State is a plundered treasury which had become a cash point for political black marketers who exchanged the State’s fortune for executive mediocrity.

His praise singers and courtiers should ask him what happened to Ado Ekiti stadium, the only one in the state which he had demolished since a year ago with the promise of building a mega stadium only on paper, like other mega boasts that never materialized.
