BEVERLY HILLS, May 22 (THEWILL) – The leadership of the Senate Tuesday met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa over the alleged plot by the Inspector -General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to frame the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, for murder as alleged by him.
The delegation was led by Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan, who told State House correspondents at the end of the meeting that they came to confer with the President on how to smoothen the working relationship between the legislature and the executive.
However, a former Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Adamu, said they met with the president over Saraki’s claim.
The meeting was held behind closed doors so state house correspondents had very limited information on how the meeting went.
Other members of the delegation were Senate Chief Whip, Senator Olusola Adeyeye, Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Senator Danjuma Goje, Senator Abiodun Olujinmi, and Senator Sam Egwu.
