BEVERLY HILLS, August 31, (THEWILL) – Ms. Donu Kogbara, a journalist and popular columnist with Vanguard Newspaper has been abducted by gunmen in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Kogbara was kidnapped outside her residence in the Nkpogu area of Port Harcourt on Sunday morning by gunmen dressed in police gear.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ahmad Muhammad (DSP), confirmed her abduction.
The gunmen are yet to make any demands as at the time of writing this report.
Kidnapping for ransom is a common crime in southern Nigeria.
