BEVERLY HILLS, August 01, (THEWILL) – The Police in Delta State Saturday said it has taken a pastor of one of the Pentecostal churches in the state into custody after a finding him at a cemetery in Ozoro allegedly performing rituals with a teenage girl.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said in a statement in Asaba that the pastor was arrested by detectives following a tip-off.
“On July 30, 2015, at about 10.30 p.m., a police surveillance patrol team from Ozoro division, while on routine patrol arrested one Pastor Oro Oboreh of Christ Freedom Family, Ozoro, in a cemetery.
“The suspect was arrested with a teenage girl, Chioma Praise, aged 14 years.
“On interrogation, the suspect claimed that he was performing spiritual healing on the said Chioma Praise to enable her attain academic prowess,” Kalu said.
