When a boy was born some decades ago into the family of the Aliches of Umuoha Community in Isiala South Local Government of Abia State, nobody entertained the faintest knowledge that the child would one day place Africa on the world map. Today, Professor Anthony Ugochukwu Aliche is an intellectual of great repute whose works reverberate the entire globe.
Aliche’s creativity is a wonder and would baffle renowned world intellectuals such as Aristotle, Leonardo Da Vinci, Socrates, Pythagoras, Karl Marx, Frederich Engels, among others, even in their graves. Such works include The Natural Dynamics of Imaginative and Creative Technology; The Dynamic Concept of Philosophical Mathematics; Have You Discover Your Assignment with Destiny; The Role of Ethics and Morals in Corporate Governance; Business Management and How to Achieve Organisational Goal.

The Role of Ethics and Morals in Corporate Governance”, a 260-page book of 30 chapters, he clearly subscribes to the fact that success achieved in every sphere of human endeavour is fostered within the ambit of certain natural laws and beliefs embellished with some standard code of practice, remains gloriously sacred. It further presents to the world the fulcrum of knowledge and a consequence of an inspired in-depth research aimed at defining success, development and achievement anchored on sound leadership. Whereas it re-enforces moral consciousness and sub-consciousness on the fact that truth is sacred; and that whatever is wrong is wrong; it is a glaring testimony that laws (both natural and physical) in as much as they are not against equity and good conscience nor repugnant to natural justice, remain the compass to success.
Because of the level of moral decadence in our society, heinous crimes such as terrorism, kidnapping, etc. have almost crippled the society. The corporate world is not spared by this trend as corporate moguls throw caution to the whirlwind, a situation that led to recklessness in handling the affairs of their organizations.
Ethics, which is defined as the guiding rules for directing the affairs of the organizations, has been discarded resulting in the collapse of big organizations in Europe, America and the unprecedented collapse of banks, public enterprises and infrastructures in Nigeria and other African countries.
In ” The Dynamic Concept of Philosophical Mathematics”, he demystifies the mystery surrounding the subject of mathematics and posits that knowledge which is described as power must be progressive. He replaced the age- long concept of QED with the “Anthonian Infinitude Mathematical Method” to the amazement of the western world. According to Professor Aliche, “if we can appreciate the creative mechanism and technology of mother nature, we will understand that imagination is creative, progressive, and mathematical”.
He is of the opinion that colonisation destroyed the black race, adding that the education system the colonial government brought was allegedly destructive and limited the best in us. Aliche queried:” Why didn’t they come with the education that would expose us to the secrets of science, technology, engineering, and other great field.
Prof. Aliche is a recipient of many awards .One of such awards is ” Ambassador of Christ” by the Catholic Men Organisation (CMO) of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Okpu Umuobe, Aba, Abia State . The award was an attempt to appreciate the uniqueness, meekness, humility, and positive and dynamic changes Aliche, through his numerous contributions, have brought to the society in general, and the church in particular. The award was conferred by Rev. Fr. Peter C Nwosu.He has also received the African Child Foundation Nigeria Author of the Year (2012); African Role Model by the New Age International Magazine; African Child Laureate for Indigenous Creativity by the African Child Foundation; Literary Excellence Award by the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) in 2015.
His work” The Natural Dynamics of Imaginative and Creative Technology, which was translated into other languages of the world including Chinese attracted an Award of Excellence to him from Washington DC in November 2015.
His research efforts have produced the following: The need to involve the Private Sector in the Economic Development of the nation;How we can use our Inherent Genius to Develop our Technology;The importance of Globalization in the Advancement of our Economy;The Benefits of Small and Medium Scale Industries in Nigeria;The Role of the Banking Sector in the Actualization of the Millennium Development Goals;Proposal on the Importance of Accountability, Probity, Financial Prudence for Civil servants and Political Appointees in Nigeria.
He attended St. Mary’s Primary School, Apa na Ekpu, and Ihie High School both in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area between 1968 to 1980. His thirst for further education drove him to Concept Institute of Therapy, Texas, USA between 1980 and 1982. From there he proceeded to University of Science and Philosophy in Virginia, USA.
Professor Aliche is a man of many parts- he is a musician who has some albums to his credit which include ” Chim Hurum N’anya, and ” The Lord Reigneth”. He has written many songs.
No wonder he has received and keep receiving glowing tributes from scholars and sages alike. One of such tributes was paid by Prof. Mkpa Agu Mkpa, Former Vice- Chancellor of Abia State University, Uturu, and former Secretary to State Government (SSG), Abia thus:”He (Prof. Aliche) sees what others cannot perceive and considers what others may not be willing to examine and from such integrative approach produces stunning findings”.
Indeed, in Professor Anthony Ugochukwu Aliche, intellectualism is defined and he has strategically placed Africa in the world map. But like the proverbial prophet who is of honour except in his hometown, he has not received much acknowledgement locally.
