No Retreat: Chibok Parents Vow To Keep Marching To Aso Villa Daily

SAN FRANCISCO, April 18, (THEWILL) – Parents of the missing Chibok girls have vowed that they would continue marching to the Presidential Villa, Abuja every day until they are granted audience by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The parents lamented that they had become enemies of the President as they were again refused access to the State House on Tuesday by security officers.

Led by Rev. Enoch Mark, whose two daughters were among the remaining 195 missing schoolgirls, the parents complained about the poor attitude of the Presidency on the plight of the girls.

He questioned the capability of the government to rescue the girls, noting that it was not involved in the rescue of the girls that were found.

“We are very sorry for giving Mr. President our votes. We voted Mr. President hoping he would rescue our daughters but we have become his enemy,” he said.

“Why can’t the President communicate with us, are we not Nigerians? Is that good for a president; a leader, to show such attitude. We believe the President is against the Chibok Community.

“If our military are not capable of rescuing our children, that means any country can come in, fight and defeat Nigeria.

“It is sad our president overlooked the military intelligence and told us he doesn’t know the whereabouts of our girls, it is very shameful.”

President of the Chibok Community in Abuja, Hosea Tsambido, disclosed that the Chibok parents would continue marching to the Presidential Villa until the President granted them audience.

“The parents have vowed not to stop marching to the villa until the President grants them audience,” he stated.

THEWILL recalls that the parents had protested to the State House last Friday and insisted on meeting with the President or his wife, Aisha, but were turned back.
