SAN FRANCISCO, October 08, (THEWILL) – President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has congratulated the new Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr. Samuel Chukwuemeka Kanu Uche on his investiture as the third Prelate of the church at the weekend.
A statement Wednesday by Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, said, “The President urges Dr. Uche to strive to build on the enviable legacies of his immediate predecessor, His Eminence Dr. Sunday Olatunji Makinde.”
The statement added that “President Jonathan also enjoins the new Prelate to deploy his wealth of experience in the service of God to make a lasting impact on the moral and ethical lives of Nigerians.
“The President trusts that under Dr. Uche’s leadership, Methodist Church Nigeria will continue to pray for the peace, stability and progress of the country.
“On behalf of himself, his family and the Federal Government, President Jonathan wishes Dr. Uche, a successful tenure as the leader of Methodist Church Nigeria and God’s wisdom in his new post.”
