BEVERLY HILLS, September 02, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday reiterated his belief that every Nigerian is free to reside in any part of the country without hindrance irrespective of their state of origin.

Speaking in his Daura countryhome in Katsina State, while receiving the state governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as part of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations, he said “the country belongs in equal measure to all of us”.

The President charged citizens to spare no efforts in ensuring that Nigeria remains peaceful and united, where everyone is everybody’s keeper irrespective of whatever different backgrounds they may come from.

While assuring all Nigerians of their safety, he declared that “Every Nigerian has a right to live, work and thrive in any part of the country, irrespective of their backgrounds.

“We should see our diversity in culture, religion and ethnicity as a source of strength and reason why we should strive to make Nigeria great.”

Buhari went on to express profound gratitude to all Nigerians for their constant prayers for his health and the well-being of the country while he was away on medical leave in London.

He said the show of concern for his health had convinced him that Nigerians are in support and appreciative of what his administration is doing, and pledged to redouble his effort to do even more, now that he is hale and hearty.

Addressing newsmen after the visit, Masari said the President has brought so much honour and pride to his home state by living a life of integrity, fairness and kindness to all; which he said reflect his fear of God.

The governor also pointed out that the President’s leadership style has attracted positive global attention to the state and the country.
