BEVERLY HILLS, October 08, (THEWILL) – Ekiti State governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose, has urged members of the National Assembly from the state to support the nomination of former Governor Kayode Fayemi when ministerial nominees are being screened by them.
In a statement Thursday, the governor gave the advice while meeting with student leaders from the state under the aegis of Federation of Ekiti Student Union (FEESU) in his office.
Maintaining that the Ekiti project belongs to all and everything must be done to support it, the governor urged the lawmakers representing the state to play their part towards ensuring that the former governor gets a hitch-free screening exercise on the floor of the Senate next Tuesday when the screening of the ministerial nominees is scheduled to begin.
According to Fayose,”Ekiti is my priority. I call on all the House of Representatives members and senators that went to Abuja from here, some people petitioned the National Assembly stating how Fayemi sunk Ekiti into heavy debts, I have told the members not to do that…”
