Militants Invade Lagos/Ogun Community, Kill 8

SAN FRANCISCO, June 24, (THEWILL) – Suspected Ijaw militants, again, in the wee hours of Friday, returned to Lagos-Ogun borderline community of Imushin, Ita-Oluwo along Ogijo reporting killing eight people and injuring many others.

Sources say the militants, who are also believed to be pipeline vandals, had last Friday killed 15 persons in the community with a promise to return today for more killings.

Residents were woken from sleep by the sound of sporadic gunshots which continued late into the morning. It was gathered that an unidentified man, who just packed into the neighborhood, was murdered in front of his house
