Magu Calls For Unity As EFCC Marks Anti-Corruption Day

BEVERLY HILLS, December 12, (THEWILL) – Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu, has urged Nigerians to unite against corruption for sustainable development in the country.

Magu spoke in Abuja after a walk organised by the anti-graft body to mark the 2017 International Anti-Corruption Day.

The walk, with the theme, ‘United Against Corruption for Development Peace and Security’, took-off from the EFCC Head Office, Wuse 2, Abuja en route Unity Fountain to Area 11 junction.

Participants were singing and dancing as they had Red Cards boldly inscribed on their Shirts, to symbolically send corruption out of Nigeria.

They also carried banners and placards with messages such as ‘Say No To Corruption’, ‘Corruption Kills’, ‘Corruption, Our Greatest Enemy’ written on them.

Others had ‘Kill Corruption Now’, ‘Do not be silent, blow the whistle to fight corruption’ and ‘Let us make Nigeria Great Again’ written on theirs.

THEWILL gathered that the walk was held simultaneously in all the cities where the EFCC has offices.
