BEVERLY HILLS, July 14, (THEWILL) – Below are the results of the Ekiti State Governorship election as formally declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, at its secretariat in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti capital early Sunday morning local time.
As previously projected by THEWILL, the election was a 2-way race between a former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Professor Olusola Eleka of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who is also the current Deputy Governor of the state.
35 political parties participated in the election across 2,195 polling units in 16 local government areas.
THEWILL will update the results by the minute as announced by INEC until all the results are declared.
