BEVERLY HILLS, June 20, (THEWILL) – Spanish prosecutors have accused Manchester United Manager, Jose Mourinho, of tax fraud while he was in Spain.
The Spanish prosecutors accused The Special One of defrauding the Spanish tax authorities in 2011 and 2012, for a total of around €3.3m (£2.91m) during his time as Real Madrid manager in 2011 and 2012.
A prosecutor claimed Mourinho failed to declare his income from the use of image rights.
The allegations follow those made against Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Lionel Messi by Spanish tax authorities.
THEWILL recalls that Ronaldo was upset by the allegations that he expressed desire to leave the country.
Curiously, Ronaldo played under Mourinho while the 54-year-old was in charge of Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013.
