Iwobi, Moses On Target As Arsenal, Chelsea Win

SAN FRANCISCO, January 21, (THEWILL) –
Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi, and his compatriot, Victor Moses, were on target, on Saturday for their clubs in the English Premier League (EPL).
Arsenal got off to a great start at the Emirates with a 4-1 win against Crystal Palace following successive draws and a loss.

Arsene Wenger’s men made a statement in the first half with four goals in the opening 22 minutes.

Nacho Monreal got Arsenal in front with a close-range header in the 6th minute.

Monreal also set up the second for Iwobi who tapped in Arsenal’s second goal.

Laurent Koscielny extended the Gunners’ lead in the 13th minute while Alexandre Lacazette ended his goal drought with his side’s fourth goal in the 22nd minute, firing through the hands of Wayne Hennessey.

In the same vein, Moses scored his first Premier League goal of the season to seal an emphatic victory for the blues who had a comfortable 4-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Chelsea flew into a two-goal lead before Brighton barely had time to catch their breath.

Eden Hazard got the Blues in front after just three minutes when he swept a right-foot shot past Mat Ryan.

William doubled Chelsea’s lead in the 6th minute from an excellent interchange with Hazard and Michy Batshuayi.

Chris Hughton’s men battled back and should have had a penalty when Willy Caballero tripped Ezequiel Schelotto, but referee Jon Moss turned down their appeal before the first forty-five minutes ended.

Despite having acres to run and many players to beat, Hazard charged forward and calmly rolled the ball into the bottom left for his second of the afternoon and Chelsea’s third in the 77th minute while Moses wrapped up the scoring twelve minutes later.
