SAN FRANCISCO, July 10, (THEWILL) – The Imo State House of Assembly has started proceedings to impeach the Deputy Governor, Eze Madumere.
The lawmakers are accusing the deputy governor of gross misconduct.
To this effect, a 6-man panel probe committee has been set up to investigate the allegations and report back to the House within seven days.
The deputy Governor has been on a battle with the Governor Rochas Okorocha over his intention to run for Governor against Okorocha’s wish.
Also, both men were at war during the National Convention of the All Progressives Congress as they formed parallel groups seeking leadership of the party in the state.
Citing threat to his life, Madumere has reportedly moved out of the Imo government house and hardly attends state functions.
