BEVERLY HILLS, CA, July 22, (THEWILL) – The Enugu State House of Assembly Tuesday commenced the process of sacking the Deputy Governor of the State, Mr. Sunday Onyebuchi, from office following the adoption of a motion seeking to remove him by 22 of the 24 members of the assembly.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dominated assembly at the session presided over by Speaker Eugene Odoh, directed the Clerk of the assembly, Mr. Christopher Chukwurah, to serve the impeachment notice on the deputy governor.
THEWILL gathered that the deputy is being punished following his decision to contest the Enugu East senatorial election in 2015 against Governor Sullivan Chime’s preferred candidate and Chief of Staff, Mrs. Ifeoma Nwobodo.
